Hypomagnesaemia with normocalciuria is a renal tubular disease characterised by hypomagnesaemia within the first year of life with no abnormalities in calcium-excretion or serum calcium-concentration were detected. Intestinal magnesium-absorption studies were carried out with isotope 28 of magnesium in one of the two patients. Despite the hypomagnesaemia, urinary magnesium-excretion remain in the normal range.
