Colloid milium (Q85396)
From determinar.ia.br - Determine suas informações
Colloid milium is a degenerative change characterized clinically by the development of yellowish, translucent papules or plaques on light-exposed skin, and histologically by the presence of colloid, thought to be derived from degenerate elastic fibres, in the dermal papillae. It is uncommon but probably under-recognised; it usually affects fair‐skinned, outdoor workers living in sunny climates. A rare familial juvenile form presents before puberty and is thought to derive from degenerate keratinocytes.
