O tipo dominante de acroosteólise, ou síndrome de Hajdu-Cheney, é uma doença muito rara, caracterizada por baixa estatura, falanges distais com desaparecimento progressivo e ossos do carpo apinhados. Pode-se observar falha na ossificação das suturas cranianas, com abóbada craniana espessada, seio frontal ausente, sela túrcica alongada e impressão basilar progressiva. | |||||||||||||||
