+O termo erupção fixa por droga descreve o aparecimento de uma ou mais manchas eritematosas inflamadas anulares ou ovais da pele como resultado da exposição a drogas. As manchas podem evoluir para bolhas. As manchas inflamadas normalmente se resolvem com hiperpigmentação pós-inflamatória mas tipicamente recorrem na(s) mesma(s) localização(ões), frequentemente com envolvimento progressivo de mais localizações, subsequentes a cada reexposição à droga. Em casos extremos (erupção fixa bolhosa por droga generalizada), o quadro clínico pode mimetizar a necrólise epidérmica tóxica. Um grande número de drogas têm sido apontadas como gatilhos.

The patches may develop into bullae. The inflamed patches normally resolve with post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation but typically recur at the same site(s), often with progressively more involved sites, following each reexposure to the drug. In extreme cases (generalised bullous fixed drug eruption) the clinical picture may mimic toxic epidermal necrolysis. A large number of drugs have been implicated as triggers.

The patches may develop into bullae.
