Acne and folliculitis caused by occupational exposure to mineral oils such as paraffin, naphthenic and aromatic oils. These are widely used as coolants, hydraulic fluids, cutting oils and lubricants. Follicular papules, comedones, pustules, nodules and scars are seen particularly on the arms, thighs and buttocks. Friction from clothing is often a contributory factor.
