Infantile eosinophilic pustular folliculitis is characterised by recurrent outbreaks of non-infective pustular lesions containing eosinophils on the scalp of infants. In the majority of cases the condition commences before the age of six months and remits by the age of three years. In two thirds of cases body areas other than the scalp are affected. The cause is unknown.
