Pili torti describes an abnormal hair structure: hair shafts are flat and twisted at irregular intervals (180 torsion) along their longitudinal axis. Pili torti can be isolated or is observed in Menkes, Bjornstad, Bazex and Dupre and Crandall syndromes, in pseudomonilethrix, and in anidrotic ectodermal dysplasia.
