Describes a condition of craniosynostosis of sagittal and bilateral lambdoid sutures, not associated with other features (Mercedes Benz syndrome is a misleading term). Posterior view shows characteristic triradiate structure of fused sutures. Compensatory expansion leads to frontal bossing, mimicking coronal synostosis. Intelligence is normal but the incidence of raised intracranial pressure is higher.
