This is a condition in which inflammatory exudates are almost entirely located in the basal cysterns and extending to the ambiens and sylvian cysterns. The exudates are fibrous and heals producing a dense fibrous tissue that entirely obliterates the CSF pathways and thus producing hydrocephalus.
