Retinal detachment in high myopia (Q85491)
From determinar.ia.br - Determine suas informações
This is a condition of the eye where the light that comes in does not directly focus on the retina but in front of it. This causes the image that one sees when looking at a distant object to be out of focus, but in focus when looking at a close object. This diagnosis is with a disorder of the eye in which the retina peels away from its underlying layer of support tissue. Initial detachment may be localised, but without rapid treatment the entire retina may detach, leading to vision loss and blindness.
