Lichen planus pemphigoides (Q100659)
From determinar.ia.br - Determine suas informações
Lichen planus pemphigoides is characterised by bullae appearing on lichen planus papules and plaques or uninvolved skin of patients with lichen planus. Histopathology shows both features of lichen planus and subepidermal clefting. Immunopathology studies are identical to bullous pemphigoid, although certain epitopes of pemphigoid autoantigens have been associated with lichen planus pemphigoides. The condition tends to affect a younger age group compared with bullous pemphigoid and is usually responsive to treatment.
