Inflammation of the meninges due to medications. The syndrome is clinically characterised by headache, neck stiffness, fever and photophobia. A history of medication use along with the exclusion of other causes of meningitis may aid the diagnosis. Spinal fluid analysis may reveal a lymphocytic pleocytosis and raised protein.
