A condition characterised by Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) <60 or presence of kidney damage that is present for more than 3 months in which there is associated abnormal turnover of the bones, specifically an imbalance in the activity of bone resorption (osteoclastic activity) and bone tissue generation (osteoblastic activity).
