Nefroma mesoblástico congênito (NMC) é o tumor renal neonatal mais comum. O diagnóstico geralmente é feito no período pré-natal ou logo após o nascimento. O tumor representa cerca de 5% das neoplasias renais em crianças. Há uma leve predileção pelo sexo masculino (razão homem-mulher de 1,5:1). O NMC é uma neoplasia fibroblástica de baixo grau do seio renal infantil.
