Déficit intelectual não sindrômico ligado ao X (deficiências intelectuais não específicas ligadas ao X (MRX)) pertencem à família das deficiências intelectuais ligadas ao sexo (XLMR). Em contraste com as deficiências intelectuais sindrômicas ou específicas ligadas ao X (MRXS), que também se apresentam com manifestações físicas, neurológicas e/ou psiquiátricas associadas, a deficiência intelectual é o único sintoma de MRX.

In contrast to syndromic or specific X-linked intellectual deficiencies (MRXS), which also present with associated physical, neurological and/or psychiatric manifestations, intellectual deficiency is the only symptom of MRX.
