A vasculite não sistêmica dos nervos periféricos pode se manifestar tanto como neuropatia assimétrica (mononeurite múltipla) quanto como neuropatia distal simétrica. A progressão é mais lenta. A doença está associada a sintomas gerais como febre e perda de peso. Não há associações específicas de doenças._x000D_ _x000D_ A histologia mostra infiltração linfocítica no nervo e ocasionalmente no músculo. É detectado espessamento perineural histológico e perda irregular de axônios.

Nonsystemic peripheral nerve vasculitis can present as both asymmetric neuropathy (mononeuritis multiplex), and distal symmetric neuropathy. Progression is slower. The disease is associated with general symptoms as fever and weight loss. There are no specific disease associations. Histology shows lymphocytic infiltration in nerve and facultative muscle. Histologically perineurial thickening and patchy axon loss is detected.
