Tumor trofoblástico de localização placentária é um tumor trofoblástico gestacional (TTG) raro que se desenvolve a partir do local de implantação da placenta e sempre ocorre subsequente a gravidez, interrupção voluntária da gravidez (IVG) ou aborto espontâneo. Sinais indicativos são metrorragia irregular algum tempo após o aborto espontâneo ou IVG, presença de metástase ou metrorragia inexplicada nas semanas e meses seguintes ao parto normal ou gravidez ectópica. Os níveis de gonadotrofina coriônica (hGC) são geralmente baixos em cerca de 10 a 100 IU/l (N < 2 a 5 IU/l). | |||

Indicative signs are irregular metrorrhagia some time after spontaneous miscarriage or VTP, presence of metastasis or unexplained metrorrhagia in the weeks and months following normal childbirth or ectopic pregnancy.
