Dystonia occurring in the setting of Leber disease, a mitochondrial disorder that involves degeneration of the retina caused by mutations in: MT-ND1, MT-ND3, MT-ND4, and MT-N. Dystonia usually begins in childhood; vision loss may begin in early adulthood.
