GRFoma is a growth hormone-releasing factor(GRF)-secreting tumour that can arise from the pancreas(30%), although it is most commonly found in the lung (54%). Hypersecretion of GRF causes the normal pituitary to release enhanced amounts of growth hormone leading to acromegaly. 30-50% of GRFomas are malingnant.
