Anetoderma occurring on clinically normal skin with no underlying associated disorder. It was formerly divided into two distinctive subtypes dependent on whether there was an associated inflammatory component (Anetoderma of Jadassohn-Pellizzari) or not (Anetoderma of Schweninger-Buzzi). This distinction is no longer held to be valid as both inflammatory and non-inflammatory lesions may co-exist.
