A rare and incompletely understood light-induced dermatosis characterised by the appearance within 24-36 hours of exposure to sunlight of a non-pruritic monomorphic eruption of follicular papules and pustules involving the face, arms and/or upper chest. It may recur annually after the first sun exposure of the year.
