Mood disorder induced by other specified psychoactive substance with mixed depressive and manic symptoms is characterised by the presence of both depressive and manic symptoms judged to be the direct consequence of use of a specified psychoactive substance. The symptoms are not better accounted for by Depressive disorder or Bipolar disorder, as might be the case if the depressive and manic symptoms preceded the onset of the use of a specified substance or if the symptoms persist for a substantial period of time after cessation of use of the specified substance.
