Dor crônica secundária à disfunção temporomandibular é a dor crônica na(s) articulação(ões) temporomandibular(es) ou nos músculos masseter ou temporal(is) associada com inflamação persistente (devida a, por exemplo, infecção, deposição de cristais ou transtornos autoimunes), alterações estruturais (como osteoartrite ou espondilose), lesão ou doenças do sistema nervoso.
