Displasias espondilometafisárias são um grupo heterogêneo de transtornos associados a distúrbios da marcha e do crescimento que se tornam evidentes durante o segundo ano de vida. Os transtornos são caracterizados por platispondilia (vértebras achatadas) e acentuadas lesões metafisárias de quadril e joelho. As diferentes formas de displasia espondilometafisária são diferenciadas pela localização e gravidade do envolvimento das metáfises afetadas. | |||

The disorders are characterised by platyspondyly (flattened vertebrae) and marked hip and knee metaphyseal lesions.
