Condição causada por falha do ureter em se desenvolver corretamente durante o período pré-natal, resultando na conexão incorreta do ureter com o rim. Essa condição pode se manifestar com refluxo ureteroureteral ou obstrução da junção ureteropélvica do polo inferior do rim no caso de duplicação incompleta. A duplicação completa pode apresentar refluxo vesicoureteral, ureterocele ectópica ou inserção ureteral ectópica. A confirmação é feita pela observação de dois ureteres de um mesmo lado por exame de imagem. | |||

A condition caused by failure of the ureter to correctly develop during the antenatal period, resulting in incorrect connection of the ureter to the kidney. This condition may present with ureteroureteral reflux, or ureteropelvic junction obstruction of the lower pole of the kidney in the case of incomplete duplication. Complete duplication may present with vesicoureteral reflux, ectopic ureterocele, or ectopic ureteral insertion. Confirmation is through observation of two ureters on one side by imaging. | |||
