Transtorno que afeta homens, causado por uma anormalidade que ocorre no desenvolvimento sexual durante o período pré-natal. Este transtorno é caracterizado pela ausência de um ou ambos os testículos no escroto. Esse transtorno também pode se manifestar com redução da fertilidade, implicações psicológicas ou aumento do risco de tumores de células germinativas testiculares. A confirmação é feita por imagem, cariótipo ou identificação dos hormônios sexuais masculinos em uma amostra de sangue.
