Cistos mixoides digitais (CMD) são cistos gangliônicos benignos dos dedos, que tipicamente se apresentam como uma pequena pápula em forma de cúpula, muitas vezes translúcida no dorso da falange terminal e/ou como "canalização" longitudinal da lâmina ungueal que é focalmente comprimida pelo cisto à medida que ele se desenvolve a partir da matriz ungueal subjacente. Na maioria dos casos, pode ser demonstrado um pedúnculo conectando o cisto com a articulação interfalangiana distal adjacente, justificando os nomes alternativos de cisto gangliônico digital e cisto sinovial digital. | |||

Digital myxoid cysts (DMCs) are benign ganglion cysts of the digits, which typically present as a small dome-shaped, often translucent papule on the dorsum of the terminal phalanx and/or as longitudinal "guttering" of the nail plate which is focally compressed by the cyst as it develops from the underlying nail matrix. In the majority of cases a stalk connecting the cyst with the adjacent distal interphalangeal joint can be demonstrated, accounting for the alternative names of digital ganglion cyst and digital synovial cyst. | |||

Digital myxoid cysts (DMCs) are benign ganglion cysts of the digits, which typically present as a small dome-shaped, often translucent papule on the dorsum of the terminal phalanx and/or as longitudinal "guttering" of the nail plate which is focally compressed by the cyst as it develops from the underlying nail matrix. In the majority of cases a stalk connecting the cyst with the adjacent distal interphalangeal joint can be demonstrated, accounting for the alternative names of digital ganglion cyst and digital synovial cyst.
