Líquen plano da unha se apresenta mais comumente como afinamento da placa ungueal com ranhuras e sulcos longitudinais. Hiperpigmentação, hiperceratose subungueal, onicólise e melanoníquia longitudinal também podem ocorrer. Raramente, a matriz pode ser destruída permanentemente com formação de pterígio proeminente. O líquen plano tem sido associado à atrofia idiopática das unhas na infância e pode se sobrepor à distrofia das vinte unhas da infância. | |||

Hyperpigmentation, subungual hyperkeratosis, onycholysis, and longitudinal melanonychia can also occur. Rarely, the matrix can be permanently destroyed with prominent pterygium formation. Lichen planus has been linked to childhood idiopathic nail atrophy and may overlap with twenty-nail dystrophy of childhood. | |||
