Querubismo é um transtorno hereditário fibro-ósseo benigno da infância, limitado à metade inferior de face, maxila e, particularmente, mandíbula, com inchaço bilateral indolor da mandíbula (dando a chamada aparência de querubim) associado a tumores ósseos multicísticos e aparência de "olhos-para-o-céu". A dentição também é anormal nas localizações em questão: agenesia dentária, não erupção, deslocamento, reabsorção radicular e mal oclusões são comuns. | |||

Cherubism is a benign fibro-osseous hereditary disorder of childhood, limited to the lower half of the face, the maxilla and particularly the mandible, with bilateral painless swelling of jaws (giving the so-called cherubic look) associated with multicystic bone tumours and eyes-to-heaven appearance. Dentition is also abnormal at the sites concerned: tooth agenesis, noneruption, displacement, root resorption and malocclusions are common. | |||

Cherubism is a benign fibro-osseous hereditary disorder of childhood, limited to the lower half of the face, the maxilla and particularly the mandible, with bilateral painless swelling of jaws (giving the so-called cherubic look) associated with multicystic bone tumours and eyes-to-heaven appearance. Dentition is also abnormal at the sites concerned: tooth agenesis, noneruption, displacement, root resorption and malocclusions are common.
