Transbordamento de lágrimas devido a secreção excessiva pela glândula lacrimal. Pode ser causado por drogas (p.ex. pillocarpina), forte emoção; ou como reflexo de estimulação trigeminal por inflamação ocular; ou irritação da córnea ou conjuntiva por irritante químico no ar; vento frio; ou corpo estranho no olho.
