Epilepsia com início em paciente com diagnóstico estabelecido de demência. Crises epilépticas podem ocorrer em qualquer período após início da doença. Crises epilépticas focais são o tipo prevalente na doença de Alzheimer enquanto crises epilépticas com atividade convulsiva bilateral predominam em outros transtornos demenciais. Mioclonia é outro achado comum em pacientes com doença de Alzheimer.
