Transtorno voyeurista é caracterizado por um padrão sustentado, focado e intenso de excitação sexual - conforme manifestado por pensamentos, fantasias, impulsos ou comportamentos sexuais persistentes - que envolve observar um indivíduo que está despido, no processo de se despir ou engajado em atividade sexual sem que este saiba que está sendo observado. Além disso, para que seja feito o diagnóstico de transtorno voyeurista, o indivíduo tem que ter colocado em prática esses pensamentos, fantasias ou impulsos ou os mesmos lhe gerarem sofrimento acentuado. Transtorno voyeurista exclui especificamente comportamentos voyeuristas consensuais que ocorrem com o consentimento da(s) pessoa(s) observada(s). | |||

Voyeuristic disorder is characterised by a sustained, focused and intense pattern of sexual arousal—as manifested by persistent sexual thoughts, fantasies, urges, or behaviours—that involves observing an unsuspecting individual who is naked, in the process of disrobing, or engaging in sexual activity. In addition, in order for Voyeuristic Disorder to be diagnosed, the individual must have acted on these thoughts, fantasies or urges or be markedly distressed by them.
