Tumor benigno da mama caracterizado pela presença de elementos estromais e epiteliais. Apresenta-se como uma massa indolor, solitária, de crescimento lento, firme e móvel. É a lesão benigna da mama mais comum. Geralmente ocorre em mulheres em idade reprodutiva. A maioria dos fibroadenomas não recidiva após a excisão completa. Foi relatado um risco ligeiramente aumentado de desenvolver câncer em fibroadenomas ou no tecido mamário de pacientes previamente tratadas para fibroadenomas. | |||
