Doença causada por uma infecção pelo verme parasita Hymenolepis. Esta doença é comumente assintomática. Esta doença pode se manifestar com náuseas, fraqueza, dor abdominal, diarreia ou vômito. A transmissão ocorre pela ingestão de ovos comumente em alimentos ou água contaminados, ou ingestão de artrópodes infectados. A confirmação é feita pela identificação de ovos de Hymenolepis em uma amostra de fezes. | |||
