Doença causada por uma infecção pelo vírus da doença da floresta Kyasanur. Esta doença comumente se apresenta com febre, calafrios, dor de cabeça, dor muscular e vômitos, ou sintomas gastrointestinais e sangramento. Essa doença também pode se manifestar com manifestações neurológicas, como dor de cabeça intensa, distúrbios mentais, tremores ou déficits de visão. A transmissão ocorre pela picada de um carrapato infectado ou pelo contato direto com um animal infectado. A confirmação é feita pela identificação do vírus da doença da floresta Kyasanur em uma amostra de soro.

A disease caused by an infection with Kyasanur Forest disease virus. This disease commonly presents with fever, chills, headache, muscle pain and vomiting, or gastrointestinal symptoms and bleeding. This disease may also present with neurological manifestations such as a severe headache, mental disturbances, tremors, or vision deficits. Transmission is through the bite of an infected tick or by direct contact with an infected animal. Confirmation is by identification of Kyasanur Forest disease virus in a serum sample.
