Doença causada por infecção pela bactéria Gram negativa Klebsiella granulomatis. Ela se apresenta comumente como ulceração genital indolor após contato com parceiro sexual contaminado. Nódulos pequenos e indolores aparecem após um período de incubação de 10-40 dias; depois os nódulos se rompem e formam úlceras abertas, carnudas e exsudativas que se estendem gradualmente, mutilando o tecido infectado. As lesões ocorrem na região de contato e são tipicamente encontradas no corpo peniano, no lábio vulvar ou no períneo. | |||
