Pigment dispersion syndrome (PDS) is an ocular pigmentation disease due to the deposition of pigment granules throughout the anterior segment of the eye and characterised by the presence of mid-peripheral, slit-like, radial iris transillumination (TI) defects, a vertical band of corneal pigmentation (Krukenberg (K)-spindle), and dense pigmentation of the trabecular meshwork. PDS is also associated with an increased risk of pigmentary glaucoma.
