Infecção de um ou mais nervos cranianos por um parasita. As manifestações clínicas dependem de qual nervo craniano ou nervos são afetados. Pode haver outros sinais e sintomas sistêmicos dependendo do agente infeccioso. O diagnóstico é feito considerando os achados clínicos no contexto de neuroimagem, análise e cultura do liquido cefalorraquidiano, testes de reação em cadeia da polimerase, testes sorológicos e biópsia quando apropriado. | |||
