Dystonia is a disorder of involuntary muscle contractions, which often appear as abnormal postures, twisting, or repetitive muscle movements. It is induced by writing, and it can affect the muscles of the fingers, hand, and/or forearm. It is not observed in relatives, and onset is in adults.
