O seio pilonidal interdigital é um transtorno incomum, geralmente adquirido no trabalho, no qual a penetração de aparas de cabelo ou lã através da pele do espaço interdigital inicia uma reação de corpo estranho, mais comumente entre os dedos anular e médio. Os tratos sinusais que então se formam podem permanecer assintomáticos por longos períodos de tempo, mas podem se tornar cronicamente infectados e supurativos. A condição é encontrada principalmente em barbeiros e tosquiadores de ovelhas. | |||

Interdigital pilonidal sinus is an uncommon, usually occupationally-acquired disorder in which penetration of hair clippings or wool through the skin of the interdigital web space initiates a foreign body reaction, most commonly between the ring and middle fingers. The sinus tracts which then form may remain symptom-free for long periods of time but may become chronically infected and suppurative. The condition is found principally in male barbers and sheep-shearers. | |||

Interdigital pilonidal sinus is an uncommon, usually occupationally-acquired disorder in which penetration of hair clippings or wool through the skin of the interdigital web space initiates a foreign body reaction, most commonly between the ring and middle fingers. The sinus tracts which then form may remain symptom-free for long periods of time but may become chronically infected and suppurative.
