Este tumor vascular benigno (anteriormente frequentemente denominado hemangioendotelioma infantil) é o correlato hepático do hemangioma infantil da pele. Geralmente são tumores assintomáticos e podem ser descobertos apenas como resultado da triagem de bebês com múltiplos hemangiomas cutâneos. Estes tumores geralmente involuem espontaneamente, mas raramente podem causar insuficiência cardíaca congestiva devido ao shunt vascular de alto volume.

This benign vascular tumour (formerly often designated infantile haemangioendothelioma) is the hepatic correlate of infantile haemangioma of the skin. They are usually asymptomatic and may be discovered only as the result of screening infants with multiple cutaneous haemangiomas. These tumours usually involute spontaneously but rarely may cause congestive cardiac failure due to high-volume vascular shunting.
