Além da incapacidade total de ver as cores, os indivíduos com acromatopsia completa apresentam várias outras aberrações oftalmológicas. Incluídas entre essas aberrações estão a acuidade visual muito diminuída (<0,1 ou 20/200) à luz do dia, hemeralopia, nistagmo e fotofobia grave. O fundo do olho parece completamente normal.

Included among these aberrations are greatly decreased visual acuity (<0.1 or 20/200) in daylight, Hemeralopia, nystagmus, and severe photophobia. The fundus of the eye appears completely normal.
