Inhalatory and dermal exposure causes burns, corrosion, and irritation to the eyes, skin, mucous membranes and respiratory tract. Inhalation may also lead to pneumotoxicity. Prolonged exposure to fluoride compounds can lead to skeletal fluorosis and osteosclerosis.
