Delayed post-hypoxic leukoencephalopathy is a demyelinating syndrome characterised by acute onset of neuropsychiatric symptoms days to weeks following apparent recovery from coma after a period of prolonged cerebral hypo-oxygenation. Acute neurologic deterioration and cerebral demyelination that occur days to weeks after the clinical recovery from a hypoxic-ischemic insult in the brain . MRI findings demonstrate diffuse hyperintensity of the cerebral white matter on T2-sequences, particularly in the region of the dorsal frontal and parietal lobes.
