X-linked sideroblastic anaemia with ataxia (XLSA/A) is a hereditary ataxia characterised by motor delay, ataxia evident from early childhood, and dysarthria. Neurological features are non-progressive. Patients usually have a mild asymptomatic anaemia or a borderline decreased mean corpuscular volume.
