Monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS) can be associated with sensory and motor neuropathies. MGUS is associated with an M-protein chain and absent lytic skeletal lesions. There is an increased risk to myeloma. Neuropathy occurs in up to 30 % of patients, the incidence increases with age. IgM paraproteinemia can also involve: Galop syndrome, GD1b, Gm1, GM2/GalNAc-GD1a ganglioside, myelin-associated glycoprotein, sulfatide and tubulin associated conditions.
