O eritema tóxico neonatal é uma erupção cutânea comum em recém-nascidos, acomete até metade dos recém-nascidos a termo, geralmente entre os dias 2-5 após o nascimento; não ocorre fora do período neonatal e geralmente se resolve nas primeiras duas semanas de vida. É caracterizado por manchas eritematosas com aparecimento de pequenas pápulas ou pústulas evanescentes, brancas ou amarelas.
