Doença das articulações, causada por uma infecção pelo vírus da rubéola. Esta doença é caracterizada por inflamação das articulações, causando artralgia ou dificuldade de movimentação das articulações. A transmissão ocorre por inalação de secreções respiratórias infectadas ou contato direto. A confirmação é feita pela identificação do vírus da rubéola (em amostras de swab nasal ou da garganta, sangue, urina ou líquido cefalorraquidiano) ou detecção de anticorpos IgM específicos contra o vírus da rubéola.
