É devido a um adiamento da conversão cíclica normal de fios anágenos em telógenos durante a gravidez. Após o parto, um grande número de fios anágenos são convertidos simultaneamente em telógenos e caem dois a três meses depois. O ciclo normal dos cabelos é então retomado. | |||

It is due to a postponement of the normal cyclical conversion of anagen hairs to telogen during pregnancy. After parturition a large number of anagen hairs are converted simultaneously to telogen and shed two to three months later. Normal hair cycling is then resumed. | |||

A physiological phenomenon in which diffuse hair loss occurs two to three months following parturition. It is due to a postponement of the normal cyclical conversion of anagen hairs to telogen during pregnancy. After parturition a large number of anagen hairs are converted simultaneously to telogen and shed two to three months later. Normal hair cycling is then resumed.
