A forma mais comum de psoríase, se manifesta como placas eritêmato-descamativas bem delimitadas na pele. Os locais típicos de envolvimento inicial são o couro cabeludo, as superfícies extensoras dos cotovelos e joelhos, a região lombar e a região pré-tibial. Na doença grave, a maior parte da superfície da pele pode estar envolvida.

The commonest form of psoriasis, which manifests as well-defined red, scaly plaques on the skin. Typical sites of initial involvement are the scalp, the extensor surfaces of the elbows and knees, the lower back and the shins. In severe disease a majority of the skin surface may be involved.
